Race history

The Gran Premio Nacional is the race that closes the three-year-old calendar at Palermo. It is held in November, on dirt, over a classic long distance, demanding that competitors have built both speed and stamina. It is the third leg of the Quadruple Crown, before the absolute finale at the Carlos Pellegrini at San Isidro. Historically it identifies the generational champion of the year.
