Cookie Policy
Detailed list of cookies used by Turfdex, their purpose, duration and provider.
Last updated:
This Cookie Policy describes in detail which cookies and similar technologies Turfdex uses, for what purpose, how long they remain on your device and how you can control them. It forms an integral part of the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions.
1.What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website installs on your device (computer, phone or tablet) when you visit it. They allow the site to recognize you on later visits, remember preferences and keep sessions active. Alongside cookies, some sites use similar technologies — such as browser local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) — that perform equivalent functions and follow similar rules.
Cookies can be classified by who installs them (first-party or third-party), by their duration (session cookies, deleted on closing the browser, or persistent cookies) and by purpose (technical, preference, analytics or advertising).
2.Types of cookies used by Turfdex
Below we list the cookies and local-storage entries the Site uses. The list is kept in sync with the actual state of the application; if a new provider or category is added in the future, this policy will be updated and announced on the Site.
Strictly necessary cookies
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-access-token | Maintains the user's active session and authorizes database requests. | Up to 1 hour; auto-renews. | Supabase (first-party, scoped to the Site domain). |
sb-refresh-token | Allows session renewal without re-prompting identity-provider credentials. | Up to 30 days unless the user manually signs out. | Supabase (first-party, scoped to the Site domain). |
Preference cookies and storage
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
tf_region | Remembers the selected region (Argentina, Latin America, International, etc.) to filter listings. | 1 year. | Turfdex (first-party). |
tf_locale | Remembers the user's preferred interface language. | 1 year. | Turfdex / next-intl (first-party). |
theme | Remembers the visual theme preference (light, dark or system). | Local storage; persists until the user clears it. | Turfdex (first-party browser local storage). |
tf_cookie_notice_dismissed | Remembers that the user saw and dismissed the cookie notice at the bottom of the page, to avoid showing it again. | 1 year. | Turfdex (first-party). |
Measurement and performance services (first-party, no user profiles)
| Service | Purpose | Data collected | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vercel Web Analytics | Aggregated page-view, country and referrer metrics to understand which content is useful. | Visited URL, referrer, country and device. No persistent identifiers and no individual profiles. | Vercel (hosting provider); processing without persistent cookies — uses a per-request rotated identifier. |
| Vercel Speed Insights | Core Web Vitals measurement (LCP, INP, CLS) reported by real browsers for performance diagnostics. | Load timings, URL, user agent, connection. Aggregated data. | Vercel (hosting provider); processing without persistent cookies. |
3.Cookies Turfdex does not use
For full transparency, Turfdex does not use:
- First- or third-party advertising cookies.
- Retargeting or remarketing cookies.
- Social-network cookies for sharing or activity tracking outside the Site.
- Google Analytics, Meta, TikTok or other advertising-vendor measurement cookies.
- Persistent advertising identifiers tied to user profiles.
4.How to control cookies
You can manage and remove cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers offer options to block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, delete stored cookies or prompt for confirmation before installing them.
Bear in mind that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect core Site features such as sign-in or persistence of preferences. Preference cookies can be blocked without affecting access to public content.
For more information on managing cookies in major browsers, refer to your browser's official documentation. The site allaboutcookies.org offers clear guides and comparisons.
5.Consent and transparency notice
Strictly necessary cookies are installed without prior consent because the Site cannot deliver basic authentication features without them. Preference cookies are installed only after a user takes affirmative action (e.g. selecting a region or changing the language) and may be removed at any time from the browser settings.
On your first visit the Site shows a short notice at the bottom of the screen summarising which cookies we use and linking to this Policy. The notice is informative —it does not block navigation— and is hidden when you click “Got it”. That preference is stored in a first-party cookie (tf_cookie_notice_dismissed) with a one-year duration, solely to avoid repeating the notice on later visits.
If we introduce cookies that require prior consent under applicable law in the future, we will implement a granular consent mechanism (accept / reject by category) and will not install those cookies until consent has been obtained.
6.Changes to this policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated to reflect changes in cookies used, in third-party providers or in applicable law. The last-updated date is always shown at the top of the document.
